Territory

The Dark forest is divided into Zones. Each has different terrain and laws, but none have prey. All of the wolves will fight with the slightest bit of provocation. These photos are all during daytime, so it is easy to see the difference, but at night they all look the same.

Thin Zone
-Terrain- The largest of all the zones, it could be mistaken for the ocean on a map. Has very thin, spaced out trees with no color. Leaf skeletons are the only undergrowth. The sky is not visible. The air is laced with the scent of blood, and if you stay in one place too long you will start to hear growling and snarling.
-Government- No wolf could live here. This zone is outside of any laws of the inner zones. If any two creatures meet here, havoc wreaks. Only one will continue on its path. Any creature is fair game. If they have to, wolves of Nightpack would pass through as a last resort, but as soon as possible they leave. How are there fights, then, you ask? Well, there are more than wolves in these forests, little one....

Cold Zone
-Terrain- A quarter of the size of a normal pack territory. The ground is forever covered in snow and moss, so the forest is always mouse quiet. The undergrowth is mostly ferns. There is a still mist through the whole area, and the sky is a bright white.
-Government- Wolves who live here typically were not actually evil in life but were supportive of an evil wolf or helped them in some way, so when they died they were dragged here along with the evil one. This is the zone you are least likely to be killed in. The best area to spy on Nightpack.
River Zone
-Terrain- Has all burnt dead trees with no branches. A gurgling brook winds through the whole territory. The ground is all damp sand and tall, dew-laden grass. There is always a light drizzle of rain coming from the unchanging gray sky. No wolf can leave here without getting soaked through. Some hills scattered around make the zone a small valley.
-Government- Hardly any wolves live here, occasionally ill-intentioned live wolves dream of this land. Mainly the only resource for water. Wolves mind their own business here, coming here few times as possible. If two encounter each other, they will get their drink of water, politely bow to each other, and leave hastily.
Bramble Zone
-Terrain- Thickly wound together, stout trees cover this tiny zone. Many dry brambles grow up through the leaf-covered ground, and greenish light glows through the branches. It is very hard to move through this area, so it serves as a wall around the Hollow Zone. There are a few tunnels cleared through the maze for passing through.
-Government- Not really any interactions, mostly functional as a border. If two wolves meet, they may fight or ignore each other. Often used as a meeting place.
Hollow Zone
-Terrain- A large dusty hollow with tall, reddish trees. The ground cover is fallen leaves and dust. It is called the Hollow Zone because every footstep echoes around the whole territory, and it seems that even the trees are hollow. unfinished
-Government- unfinished
